Kyle Harper, a historian at the University of Oklahoma, presents “Pandemics: A Hidden Hinge of Global History,” an outgrowth of his work on the history of humans as agents of ecological change that asks how we can approach questions such as biodiversity, health, and environmental sustainability from a historical perspective.
