22nd Annual Flag Retirement & Disposal Ceremony

The City of Woodway, McLennan County Veterans Association, and Elizabeth Gordon Bradley Chapter of DAR host the 22nd Annual Flag Retirement and Disposal Ceremony at 2 pm on Sunday, November 13, at the Carleen Bright Arboretum Pavilion. Plus, Pat Thibodeau, USN (Ret), will present “Women in the Military” to highlight the contributions of women to war efforts from the Revolutionary period to the present day.

Unserviceable US, Texas, POW/MIA, and military service flags of all sizes may be taken in advance to any Community Bank & Trust location, The Arboretum, or VFW Post 6008 in Hewitt. Flags may also be brought to the event to be destroyed by burning as prescribed by the Flag Code.
