Ecology & Religion in Nineteenth-Century Studies Conference (Day 1)

September 18, 2019 @ 8:30 am – 8:00 pm
Armstrong Browning Library & Museum
710 Speight Ave
Waco TX
(254) 710-3566

The flightless, multi-site, and interdisciplinary Ecology & Religion in Nineteenth-Century Studies Conference explores the confluences between environmental and religious perspectives and practices in the long Anglophone nineteenth century (1780-1900).

In response to the rapid acceleration of climate change since that century, this conference avoids air travel by digitally connecting events at several conference sites in the United States and in the United Kingdom. By lowering barriers of cost and transportation, this approach to networking promises to enable a more diverse and inclusive range of participation than is often possible at international conferences.

This conference has sessions and outings both on and off the Baylor University campus, so take a close look at the detailed scheduled.
