Leonardo and the Flying Machine

Leonardo and the Flying Machine is a hybrid theatre piece, conceived and written by Michael Sullivan and staged by acclaimed director Jerry MacLauchlin in collaboration with Baylor Theatre. An introduction to Leonardo DaVinci and other key figures in the Italian Renaissance, the play focuses on the well-known legend of Leonardo’s attempts at making the first flying machine. Threatened by this success, his nemesis Michelangelo devises a plot.
This production features Renaissance-costumed actors and puppets in a theatrical spectacle of fun and surprises, celebrating the life of the mind and dreams coming true.
